USE flags

  • assimp - Use media-libs/assimp to import assets from 3D files
  • bullet - Use sci-physics/bullet for physics plugin
  • cg - NVIDIA toolkit plugin
  • debug - Enable extra debug codepaths, like asserts and extra output. If you want to get meaningful backtraces see https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Quality_Assurance/Backtraces
  • doc - Add extra documentation (API, Javadoc, etc). It is recommended to enable per package instead of globally
  • examples - Install examples, usually source code
  • freeimage - Support images via media-libs/freeimage

  • opengl - Add support for OpenGL (3D graphics)
  • pch - Enable precompiled header support for faster compilation at the expense of disk space and memory
