Synopsis

Description
A use-after-free bug was discovered in Mozilla Thunderbird handling of SCTP.
Impact
A remote attacker could possibly execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the process or cause a Denial of Service condition.
Workaround
There is no known workaround at this time.
Resolution
All Mozilla Thunderbird users should upgrade to the latest version:
# emerge --sync # emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=mail-client/thunderbird-78.6.1"
All Mozilla Thunderbird binary users should upgrade to the latest version:
# emerge --sync
# emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose
