Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG

HI guys.
How do I activate the wireless card Intel Pro 2200 laptop. The Calculate recognized but I can not activate it to recognize the wireless networks that are active.
Thanks.

Hello,

Which version of Calculate do you use ?

Thanks.

Hi Julien.
Calculate - 13.6.2 - gnome-32bits.

This is my first experience with linux based on gentoo.

My notebook is a sony Vaio - VGN-S470P with:
Intel Centrino 1.7MHz - 2GB-Ram - 32Bits.
nvidia GeForce Go 6200, - (this, the Calculate did perform better than ubuntu, debian and mandriva)
wireless intel PRO/wireless 2200 BG - (although it recognizes that not active and therefore does not recognize wireless connections).

thanks

Hi.
I really tried … and the wireless did not work. I’m uninstalling calculate linux.

Thank you all.

Try to:

emerge -a sys-firmware/ipw2200-firmware

Then:

rfkill unblock all
modprobe -r ipw2200
modprobe ipw2200
